GEF Board Approves Over $28,000 in Grants
The Georgetown Education Foundation (GEF) announced today that their board of directors has approved over $28,000 in grants for 2011. The GEF grant process receives grant requests for consideration from school personnel in the areas of science, technology, the arts, and innovative teaching. The specific grant programs, sponsors and amounts will be announced at the GEF Gala on March 19th.
GEF President Gloria Mogavero remarked that this is a record grant amount for the GEF and that the GEF is extremely proud to be able to provide the schools with this much assistance in these challenging economic times.
Please join us for the grant presentations at the GEF Gala on March 19th at the Black Swan. In addition to the grant presentations there will be; music, dancing, raffles and dinner.
